If you are a homebrewer and\/or beer enthusiast in the Milwaukee area, you should consider joining our crew!<\/p>\n<p>We meet monthly on the 4th Wednesday of the month at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Clifford's+Supper+Club,+10418+W+Forest+Home+Ave,+Hales+Corners,+WI+53130\/@42.9395059,-88.0462741,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x88050e642c91bd99:0x7dcb2aaf4b67a484\">Clifford&#8217;s Supper Club<\/a>, with the exception of the 3rd Wednesdays in November and December.<\/p>\n<h3>Benefits of Membership<\/h3>\n<p>Members enjoy access to club events and will be part of a group of brewers with a wealth of brewing knowledge and experience. They attend our monthly meetings for a flat $15 fee &#8211; opposed to $20 for guests. Please checkout some of our <a href=\"http:\/\/beerbarons.org\/tag\/general-meetings\/\">previous meetings<\/a>\u00a0to get a sense of our monthly programming.<\/p>\n<p>Members gain access to club communication channels and get first dibs on any club activities, field trips, volunteer opportunities, and any other special item (such as group buys).<\/p>\n<p>Membership runs from February 1st through January 31st of the following year.<\/p>\n<h3>Membership Types<\/h3>\n<p>We offer Single and Family Memberships. A Single Membership affords\u00a0membership rights for a single person. A Family Membership gains membership rights for 2 people living in the same home. This card costs $120 and <strong>covers all meeting fees for the year<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3>How to Join<\/h3>\n<p>You just need to pay your dues <a href=\"http:\/\/beerbarons.org\/product-category\/membership-dues\/\">online<\/a> or at the next General Meeting you attend. You will receive a membership card at the following General Meeting you attend.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h1><a id=\"meeting-faqs\"><\/a>FAQs about our Meetings and Membership<\/h1>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">When and Where are the meetings?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">January through October meetings are the fourth Wednesday of the Month and are open to guests.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>November and December Meetings are the third Wednesday of the month and are only open to members.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Meetings start at 7:30 pm and are held at Clifford\u2019s Supper Club. (hyperlink: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cliffordsfinefood.com\"><span class=\"s2\">http:\/\/www.cliffordsfinefood.com<\/span><\/a>.)<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On rare occasions, meeting dates, times and locations may change.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>So please check the clubs calendar web page to confirm dates and times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What are the Costs?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please see the <a href=\".\/#dues-and-fees\">Memberships and Dues<\/a> section above. Note that purchasing a <a href=\".\/#gold-cards\">Gold Card<\/a> along with your membership covers all your monthly meeting costs for the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What Should I bring?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Please bring cash to pay the fees as we do not accept credit cards. Also, bring your own tasting glass to all of the meetings.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We do not use Clifford\u2019s glassware in order to keep the Banquet hall Costs low.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You are welcome and encouraged to bring in your own beer to share with your table.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Nothing makes friends faster than asking someone if they want to try your beer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is also okay to bring chips, cheese, sausage, crackers, etc. to go with the beer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Please do not bring larger snacks or dinner, as we encourage you to purchase those items from Clifford\u2019s.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Please clean-up your food and beer leftovers at the end of the meeting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">How do the meetings work?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">When you arrive please proceed to the check-in table.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When you pay your fee you will receive a wristband, which allows club privileges for the night.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Any table is open for occupying for the night.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You will see many tables of established club members.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We encourage you to ask and join any table of existing members.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The club is usually very welcoming of new members.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">There will be jockey boxes with many different varieties of commercial and homebrew.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>At most meetings, the beers will be tied to the main topic for the evening.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Feel free to help yourself to free samples throughout the meeting.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The Meeting starts with club business and announcements. When that is finished we move to the main presentation of the evening. We request that you keep any side conversations as quiet as possible during the presentation. After the presentation, the meeting moves to the social hour, which is a great time to discuss and talk with friends or other new members.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We close the jockey boxes at 10:00 pm.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>We encourage ride sharing or a cab if the need arises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What are the presentations on?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Some meetings are commercial beer nights.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On commercial beer nights, we will have a professional brewer, owner, or distributor talk about their brewery, experiences, beers, methods, etc.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The members are always welcome to ask any questions that they may have.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>When we have a commercial beer night there will be several beers available from the brewer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Often these beers are new releases or beers that you can not readily get elsewhere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Another popular topic is experiment nights.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On these nights we have some of our members brew identical beers with one variable changed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>For example, we may brew 12 identical beers except change the hop or yeast that is used or the temperature that each of the beers is fermented at.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This allows you to really learn what a certain ingredient will do to your beer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On these nights the jockey boxes will be filled with the different experimental beers and perhaps a few others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">A third common topic is beer style.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The meeting may focus on specific style or type of beer such as barrel aged, sour, Belgian, wheat, etc.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>On these nights the jockey boxes will be filled with beers that match the topic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Other topics may include things such as equipment, techniques, or just about anything related to brewing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">What else does the club have to offer?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The club has several special events throughout the year such as the club picnic, beer tours, bus trips to Great Taste of the Midwest and Wisconsin Microbrewers Festival at Chilton, Fondy Brewfest and the Beer Barons own World of Beer<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Festival.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The club offers classes on Beer and Mead judging.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Also at most meetings, you can have BJCP judges provide feedback on your beer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">Is the club for me?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The club is for both new and experienced brewers and anyone who is just interested in quality beer.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>You must be of legal drinking age to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">If you have any other questions, please see the contact us!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are always happy to accept new members.
