The Beer Barons of Milwaukee mission is to provide education about beer and brewing to all interested parties. We have done this informally through our meetings and private get-togethers since the beginning of the club in 1989.
In the late 1990's we started doing "Style Groups" where we'd get together to research and brew beer to a specific style, later serving the beer to the club. In 2003 we started conducting informal BJCP study sessions which became a more formal class in 2005.
As an expansion of these successful ventures into beer and brewing education we're developing a fully rounded education program covering all aspects of brewing and beer evaluation from basic to extreme. Most of these courses are designed to be one session lasting from 2 to 4 hours.
Real education from the Beer Barons.
This section of the web site is being updated and replaced with a seminar management tool that will be in place in winter/spring 2013. We are currently in the process of running the BJCP Style Sessions and a BJCP Mead Class. No other classes will be scheduled until the new system is in place. Check back periodically.
