About the Beer Barons of Milwaukee
The Beer Barons of Milwaukee was started in 1989 by a group from the Wisconsin Vintners and others who were interested in making and enjoying beer.
The Beer Barons of Milwaukee Cooperative became a registered cooperative in the State of Wisconsin in 2008. We are an AHA registered Homebrew club, supporting homebrewing and beer enthusiasts throughout our community. We co-sponsor the Wisconsin State Fair Wine and Homebrewing Competition and are co-sponsors of other homebrew competitions such as the Blessing of the Bock. See the competition page for more information.

The Beer Barons of Milwaukee is open to anyone 21 years of age or older. Annual dues are $20.00, which are mainly used to cover the cost of producing the clubs newsletter, Baron Mind. In addition, we normally charge a $5.00 or $10.00 fee at each meeting attended to cover the cost of the featured beer style we taste that evening. However, additional fees may be required to cover the cost of higher priced beers such as Belgian Ales or special events such as the annual party in December. Annual dues may be paid at the monthly meeting, on-line, or a check may be sent to:
