2012 Summer Picnic is here!

Where: Root River Parkway picnic area #3 On Root River Parkway near S 84th St (just east of S 92nd St). There are two Root River Parkways here - it's on the southern street between 92nd St & 84th St. NOT the street that intersects Forest Home Ave.

When: Saturday, September 8th, 2012, official kick off is at 12:00.

Cost: $10/person, $15 couples, kids are free as always. Please bring a dish to pass.

This year will feature smoked chickens by Mike Schwartz and brats and burgers by Jeff Kane

If you'd like to make a BIG main dish let us know. The club pays for everything that goes into the main dishes.

Jerry Hetzel Memorial Homebrew Competition

We'll be having the annual competition for the paddle. Fire up your kettles and make the best beer you can because the competition is stiff! We've been getting 20+ beers in the competition for several years. Judging is by all attendees based on "Which beer do you think is best" - no styles needed.

Beer Food Competition

Once again we'll be having the great cook off competition for foods made with beer. More details are in the newsletter.

In addition to the usual homebrew, great food, and raffle with huge prizes and lots of great swag; bring some fun activities like bocce and other games.
