Welcome

The Beer Barons of Milwaukee is a group of over 150 homebrewers and beer lovers who meet monthly to learn about beer and brewing. New members are always welcome.

Membership

The club is open to anybody of legal drinking age. Current membership is $20/year for individuals or $30 for couples. Trial memberships last for 3 months and allow you to participate in club activities to get a feel for it before joining. If you want to join you can mail a check to the address at the bottom of the page or just come to a meeting and pay there. Remember to include the name of the member on your check. Some of our other club activities

Running the Germanfest, Schooner, and Mid-Winter Homebrew Competitions.
Helping with other competitions in the Milwaukee area including the judging for Wisconsin State Fair.
Participating in the BJCP (Beer Judge Certification Program) program through training judges.
Run the World of Beer festival with beer tasting, seminars, and more each year!
Bus trips to several Wisconsin and Illinois beer festivals.
Running Brew-U to teach beer evaluation, styles, and brewing techniques.

The listserv is an email list that's used for general club communication, asking questions, selling equipment, etc. If you're a club member and want to join our our email list on Yahoo! just go here and sign up. If you have problems contact Jeff Kane.

This is used for intra-club communication and isn't generally open to people outside the club except some of the local vendors, distributors and others who we have business with. If you're a member of the club Jeff Kane will approve your application.

Support Your Local Brewery

Support Your Local Brewery is a national, grassroots partnership of beer enthusiasts, professional trade associations and brewers dedicated to supporting and protecting the legislative and regulatory interests of small, traditional and independent craft breweries. This is run by the Brewers Association & AHA.

The Beer Barons meet at Clifford's Supper Club on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM, with exceptions for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and occasional special events. See the events page for notices. Meetings are open to anybody 21 years of age or older and normally cost $10; however costs may be higher to cover costs for special events.

Clifford's is located at 10418 W. Forest Home Ave. in Hales Corners.
