Wisconsin State Fair Homebrew Competition
The Beer Barons of Milwaukee ran the judging portion of the State Fair Homebrew Competition from 1990 through 2011. Due to problems with management by the state fair, we were on the receiving end of a huge volume of unhappy entrants who did not receive their results in a timely manner, sometimes not receiving awards, and numerous other problems. The club had not only sponsored the competition by running the judging, we paid most of the costs of the judging portion such as supplies, registration fees, and judge related costs. After the problems experienced in 2011, the Beer Barons' Board felt it was in the best interest of the club to no longer be associated with this competition. The historic results from the Beer Barons tenure with the competition are posted below.

The Beer Barons meet at Clifford's Supper Club on the fourth Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM, with exceptions for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, and occasional special events. See the events page for notices. Meetings are open to anybody 21 years of age or older and normally cost $10; however costs may be higher to cover costs for special events.
Clifford's is located at 10418 W. Forest Home Ave. in Hales Corners.
